"Please wait"

Yast is awesome. However, when I try to use it on my mac it's stuck on "please wait". I have tried different browsers, cleaning cookies, disabling adblockers, etc. I ́m using MacOs Sierra version 10.12.1. I have been using the app on my phone to bridge this problem and when I need to do reports I borrow a pc. After a few months of keeping a positive attitude towards this shit I have come to the point where I just cannot take it anymore and I feel I'm going to end up like Michael Douglas in the movie Falling Down.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Denni Minn

  • Haha! That's the best movie reference in this support forum for a while. Hopefully We will find a solution before you start flashing you gun.

I'm on MacOs Sierra 10.12.1, and I have tested you account on Chrome 55.0.2883.87, Firefox 50.0.2 and Safari 10.0.1. They all work. So something has to be different on your computer. Maybe I can help you find out what.

It sound like you have tried clearing cached information in you browser so, lets try and see if you can find something interesting for me in you browser developer console. But first I would like to point out that we did system maintenance on December 11, and that you might need you browser to reload the site for Yast to work.

To check out the console for me you first need to open the developer tools and look at the console. Doing this is a bit different on different browsers. In the browsers Chrome and Firefox the hotkeys for opening the developer console are Cmd + alt + I on Mac, and Ctrl + Shift + I on a Windows machine. To open the developer tools in Safari you first need to activate this panel and then you can open the developer tools with the same hotkeys as mentioned above.

After opening the developer tools you should be able to find a tab called 'console'. If not visible, it usually appears by pressing the ESC key. Please copy whatever is printed in this log. Especially errors, usually printed in red text.

If you like, you can continue this report by email. This way we can exchange sensitive information without exposing it to the public. To do this sen an email to with a reference to this support topic

PS: Make sure you are not using google login for an different account. A lot of our uses often have multiple accounts because of some mixup with third party identity providers
