Faster way to edit running project

How about a button next to stop button for editing running entry?
Very often I'm a little late to press start button and when doing that it would be more easier to adjust start time if I can use a button instead of first open "Show a list ..." and then find that tiny button to edit.

    Hi Mikael

Have you tried dragging the box in the timeline? I find this to be super fast, and it can be done with both running and finished entries. Also, you can double click it if you want to add more information (or do detailed timing).

I hope this works as a solution. If not, let me know, and I'll see what we can do :)

    Kind regards

  • Hm.. well, yes it works.. Thanks!

But still, I wish a "large" button beside the other buttons, for editing.

  • Another to wish list:

More settings for timeline, default setting for time span (without need to use zoom button) so, let say there is one hour from left to right and then ability to "lock", or auto follow actual time.
(Actual time always in the middle)

  • "Week view" is the opposite! Rather then a "hour view".
I'll try to explain my normal day:

At about 07:10 I entering my work, at a customer.
At once, by the coffee table, it starts talking about "project A".

This will keep going on, let say 12 minutes.

After that I'm log in to my PC, start Yast and now starting "project A".

Now I want to include the 12 minutes from the "coffee meeting".
In Yast timeline, there is only a very small pieces, just some seconds so it will be little tricky to double click on that piece to edit.
    So I then:
    1. click on magnify glass
    2. click that tiny edit button/text
    3. adjust time
    4. OK
    5. Click magnify glass to restore my view

Not very hard job, I know.
But every less click is better.

    New suggestion:
There is a column for today time and for week time.
What about a column for start time and for stop time?
And with editable values, like decriptions beside recently used project, so I easy can adjust my start time that way?
Maybe those extra columns only visible for recent used projects.

    Hi Mikael

I think the suggestions you make are good, and I'd love to see them in action. However, the guys developing are mostly looking into critical errors at the moment. I'l be sure to pass it on to them, but don't get your hopes up too much at the moment. We're also thinking about expanding the team by hiring a new developer. That would surely speed things up some, so I'm crossing my fingers for that.

Again, thanks for helping us making Yast better!

    Happy new year!
